Pre-Check offers MVR Motor Vehicle Reports for employment purposes. During the pre-employment screening process we can review the applicant's driving history.
A Motor Vehicle Report is a review of an applicant’s current driving history dating back seven years in any state requested. Depending on the state, an MVR will also show commercial license type and status, including medical certificates and hazmat certification. Please Note: All states require Driver’s License numbers to properly access reports.
A good or poor driving record can make a difference in everything from the cost of insurance premiums to getting hired or not for a particular job. Here are several reasons potential employers should verify driving records:
1. Insurance. A potential employee can have a big impact on the insurance rates that a company may pay, especially if the record is poor.
2. Reviewing a driving record will provide an accurate look at the person’s driving history and what type of driver they may be in the future.
3. If the driving record is not checked and the employee does in fact have a poor record, an accident could become a major liability for the company.
4. Ordering a driving record will provide valuable information about a person’s behavior history. A drivers inability to follow state traffic regulations can indicate a tendency not to follow company rules.
